Flying Chickens

We are so grateful for our dedicated intern Lillian, seen here snuggling with Ronda, 1 of TevaLand's 48 rescued chickens. Between farm chores, Lillian has been helping our free roaming chicks by encouraging them to practice flying. While most farm chickens have their wings clipped and never learn to fly, TevaLand's empowerment policy allows these beautiful birds to spread their wings and soar, just as nature intended! The ability of flight also offers our chickens protection from foxes and other natural predators. Win/Win!
